Congratulations. The wait seems forever...
Finances over fico, all paid? Great. Now save up enough cash to not need the cards. Don't get rid of them, use them but time to get ahead!

@acusix Awesome work!
What will happen - most likely (and it is ALWAYS hard to say what "will happen" with any certainty because there are some 12 "profiles" in the FICO world and depending on which profile you have that will serve as a guideline and a starting point as to how things will update based on activity) - is that your score will increase some because of credit utilization going down. If I read things correctly, you paid off CAs and COs as well as credit cards? With the two exceptions (Discover and NFCU....and you will pay down the NFCU shortly). And, you paid off the COs. Those bad boys were really killing your score because they, too, count against Utilization.
Man, I hope that I read things correctly. I was mopping the floor in between reading and answering. So, maybe old man here on this one (and, if so, please forgive me). LOL
@HowDoesThisAllWork haha! No worries. I was going to leave a balance on the NFCU card but it's at a 0 balance now. Only the discover card has a small balance. I pray those old co's are removed by 10/31. I'm excited man. I've never been able to say I have good credit but I can say that now almost lol
Congratulations!
I wanted to come back to the post and give everyone an update. Paid off everything on 9/30. Scores started to creep up slowly. I got anixous and ended up upgrading my car a couple weeks later (bought a 2020 Ford F150) lol. but as of today 11/1. My scores have all increased by 50pts and shockingly 100pts with Experian and Transunion. I wanted to say thank you all for the advice and guidance with my journey. So right now I'm in the garden. I hope to hit the love button in a couple months to increased my available credit on each card . **Updated scores are in my signature**
Congrats @acusix and job well done. Enjoy the new ride!!!!!!
