Hi Everyone!
I've been lurking the forums and absorbing the amazing advice each and every one of you put out here daily, and I still can't figure out where to start..
I've pulled my 3 CR from annualcreditreport.com and have 11 negatives on my account, all from horrible spending habits at age 18-22.. After the CO's and collections, I've been terrified to look at my CR up until recently. I'm 25 and I want to take control of this. Looking to get into a new car within a year (tired (and somewhat embarrassed) of having to ask my mom to sign for me) and I want to accomplish buying my own home within the next 2.5 years.
I have CO's from Macy's, Nordstrom, BofA (which has been paid in settlement), BOSE and Lord and Taylor.
Some accounts have been sold to CA, some have not. The total debt does not go past $5,000, which I can pay off fairly quick, but it's just where to begin.
I want to get the CO from the OC's removed as well as the CA that hold the same debt.
How do I start?
Equifax 525
Transunion 572
I have yet to pull my experian, but I'm guessing its in and around the 500's.
It would be HEAVENLY to make it into the mid 700s and with what I've seen on here, I'm confident (and persistent enough) to do it.
I'm probably one of a gazilllllllion posts asking for help, but please .... HELP -lol-
Thanks in advance!
First off, welcome to the forums. Second off.... We got your back!
You say that you can afford to pay these debts now. You would want to try PFDs.
Make a list of what's paid and not paid.
For the paid, you will write PFDs... Let us know what help you need.
For the paid ones, GWs will be in order.
Thank you for replying!
I have another question...
For the unpaid I know I have to send PFD to the collection agency.. But how do I get the OC to remove the debt? Would it be through GW?
Yes,, it will probably be through the GW process. Does the OC still own the debt? If so, you could ask them to recall from the CA and try a PFD with the OC. That's another option.
