Reasonable score expectations while rebuilding

Ok, so I'm more or less just fishing for motivation (and I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering this), but I'm looking for a  score "range" one could expect while rebuilding and get to that end point when nothing else can be done but garden.

I fully understand that there's way too many variables for precision, so maybe hearing some experiences would be helpful.

For example, I see myself being in a place in 4-6 months where ALL debt is paid, but having 4-5 COs/CAs that I'll just have to wait to fall off. Assuming all other variables are exactly "average" (AAoA, expected falloff dates, etc) on the remaining 4-5 paid baddies (so maybe 3 years of gardening, AZEO, and GW campaigns is all that's left to do)...what is the approximate "just best it's going to get with the baddies still there". 650ish? 720ish?

I'm just trying to stay motivated with  the thought of "well, at least the suck factor will only be a 8.2 when it's all paid".

that really is not enough info and there is zero way to tell how your scores will improve. Even ranges IMO.

You have baddies waiting to drop. Are they paid off? Or are you just letting them die off? If just waiting for them to die off your CRs, dont expect any gains until all unpaid ones are gone.

Were you unable to PFD any of the CAs

Are any baddies paid or you are just beginning on your rebuild journey? If util is a factor right now (like unpaid CC COs) you may see some score gain as your util crosses thresholds and it goes down.

What are your scores? Fico or fako?

As long as you are on a "dirty score card" that will keep you from the higher end of the score range. I have seen people in the low end of the 700s kn a dirty scorecard. Even mid 700s, but it all boild down to your specific credit profile.

What is "average" AAoA? We cannot guess these things.

Thanks and good luck! Never give up on your rebuild. Once all baddies are off your CRs is when you will see the big boost in scores.

Re: Reasonable score expectations while rebuilding

Thanks for the reply.

Average being average...not exceptionally long or short. The question was not specific to me, just a general range of possible scores with 4-5 remaining paid derogs. I won't waste the community's time with personal specifics until that time has come. You personally knowing people with 700+ with remaining derogs is good enough for me.

As an example, with 5 paid derogs it is highly possible to see a 680 (given favorable factors such as AZEO, SSL tech, etc), but never an 800 with derogs. You know...just general reasonable expectations.

Re: Reasonable score expectations while rebuilding

It comes down to people who had high scores like 740+ and then have a bunch of baddies. They will get hit worse than someone who had 625 or so scores. I only have a BK but its almost 5 yrs later. No other derogs. The goal is to reach 700 which opens more doors than 650's would. Heres a close breakdown before and after. Big difference.

To even try to pin point where you'll be after you take care of your dings could give false hope or make us look like we dont know what were talking about. So its hard even knowing all the detalis to come up with a ballpark score. Shoot for 700 and go from there.

TWO MORE MONTHS NO BK! (on Eq/Ex)

Re: Reasonable score expectations while rebuilding

Yes, definitely.

And I understand it's almost impossible to even generalize, as I said I was just looking for a motivational thought to keep in my head. Although this is irrelevant, on a personal note, I'm a retired military Ranger that delivers Doordash to make the extra money to pay off the derogs...and I absolutely hate it lol. I'm 99% sure, through research, that 4 of the derogs will remain for a few years even after PIF, as paid COs.

So, I was just looking for something along the lines, while convincing my self to "go forth and be the Savior of Snacky-Snacks 😂" again today, that I can keep telling myself...'those last baddies that won't go away is still suck, but 680/700/whatever is still obtainable with them there...so get your arse up and deliver those **bleep** cheeseburgers'.

Anyway...you get the gist. But yeah, I understand there's no clear easy answer to the question.
