Had an old mortgage with OCWEN LOAN that showed few late payments! I thought it was only one but they reported few. At the time couldn’t get them to change it, send a GW letter last year and still no luck. Even disputed, but still no luck.
So still stuck with these late payments from 2013. In my CR score the number one issue is “Bad Payment History” even though all the payments for loans and revolving has been 100% since than!
Any tips as how to remove these would be welcome!
Early Exclusion:
7 year (plus 180 days) mark is the DoFD exclusion date. You can request for EE Early Exclusion on your derogatory / delinquency from:
TransUnion - 6 months early.
Experian - 3 months early.
Equifax - 1 month early. I would not recommend requesting EE. Let derogatory / delinquency fall off naturally.
Call up TransUnion . Front line csr may be able to assist. If not, request to speak with a supervisor to have the delinquency / derogatory removed. You may not see a score improvement until the last late is removed. However, since EE request is a simple process might as well take advantage of it.

Lets figure this out. June of this year the three lates will fall one by one. In the meantime. Check your statements on whichever way you paid and if the payments were made on time. Send that in to the CRA's. You need supporting documentation to go with a dispute. If you have access online to the old account. Compare your statements from your bank to their reporting of lates.

If Transunion does EE lates, you can get up to the 60 day late payment from 10/2013 removed. Considering how old these lates are, I would definitely try a GW letter again. Try a GW email to the CEO. If you want, I can PM the CEO's email address.

These lates are old and as everyone said EE or GW should be good options, but at worst they should all be gone by Dec of this year if they just fall off naturally! So close!

I'm no longer with OCWEN LOAN, so can't access the old payment history! Back then when I missed the 1st payment, there was less than $100 remained on the upcoming months that I was not aware of which led to all the late payments. So even tho I was making a payments, it was reporting late! All I had to do was pay the extra $100 and balance was satisfied.

I'll try another GW. Would appreciate the CEO's email address.

I went by your opening line on Post #1: "Had an old mortgage with OCWEN LOAN that showed few late payments! I thought it was only one but they reported few. " So my responce was to work out a way to correct lates you thought were for just one late and get the others removed that shouldnt have been there. That changes everything. Now that it all comes out. Like the others have said you can EE. But we can only go by whats handed to us. There always somethng in the background and eventually comes out. Good Luck on the EE's. Keep us updated.

There have been discrepancy in my CRs. Experian reports 3 late vs. Tu 6 and even with Tu, the month that was reported has been changed from 5 years ago!
