Hey Guys-
So I finally paid all of the balances on my open accounts and my score moved to a whopping 538 though it's still low its an improvement from the 499 I had 3 months ago. Well now I'm trying to attack my collections accounts and need some advise as to where to start. Please offer any steps/help that you can I have about $900 and would like to know where to put it for the best results.

Just based on a quick look, I think AFNI would be a good place to start. You show two collections from them, or is it actually just a single one repeated ?
If they offer a settlement, I'd take it, then send them a GW to delete. Many people have success with getting AFNI to delete paid collections.
It is two seperate AFNI collections so would I PFD or pay and then ask them for a GW?
The correct ones are here:
Collection agency Afni
Original balance $171
Current balance $171

DOLA 05/2005
Collection agency Afni

Have they sent you any settlement offers ? If not, I would send them a PFD for both, for some small amount, whatever you want to try. Lately I haven't seen many people reporting success with PFDs at AFNI, but they are generally very good about deleting collections via GW after payment.
Thanks I have received settlement letters from them recently, but I wanted to be sure that they were the one's I should start with. There is a lot of damage done so I don't want to make any additional mistakes. Luckily everything that's open is paid for and a 0 Balance but I need to try to get to a 650 ASAP.
I think RJM is one that takes PFD really easily plus that one has a really small balance, you might do a search and find more info on them on the board .. good luck!!
Hi
I had a couple of RJM accounts, settled in full, then disputed with CRA's, RJM did not respond to dispute and both were removed from credit reports. YMMV, but I do read of a lot of success in getting their tradelines removed.
