UPDATE: Collection Agencies That PFD

I have 5 collections on my report mostly medical and wanted to know if any of the agencies will do a PFD:

ARS ACCOUNT RESOLUTION - Medical
CARTER-YOUNG INC - Apartment
CREDIT COLLECTION SVCS - Medical- PFD
NATIONAL CREDIT ADJUSTMENT - Credit Card
PROFESSIONAL FINANCE COMPANY - Medical

The medical ones you should try to settle with the original creditor and ask if they will recall the debt in exchange for payment.

Unfortunately I have tried that and they refuse to recall the debt and state I must negotiate with the collection agency instead.

While not exactly a PFD, gdale6 has a nice blurb on how to deal with medical collections to get them removed (hopefully they'll pop in here at some point to share).

It uses the HIPAA method, which you'll need to google, as we don't discuss it here on these forums.

Credit Collections SVCS should. I recently called to get a PFD.

They said they couldn't give a confirmation email saying they will request ba removal from credit bureaus, only that they will inform supervisor.

Lo and behold I got an email from said supervisor requesting removal.
