Hi all, i'm a year post bk and trying to figure out what else I should be doing, if anything. I'm a little down because I was hoping to get one more CC before I go into the garden until possibly Jan 2021 (might get a house late next year) however I've had no luck.
- Discover prequal said no - I currently have a secured card with them , about to hit 12 months, but no graduation yet. The prequal said no due to recent deliquency (i'm assuming my bk), and loan balances too high (assuming my student loans)
- NFCU said no on a 2nd card - I called to ask if I am prequalified for any cards, they said only the secured, which I already had (that one has since graduated)
- Capital One prequal said no offers - they were included in my bk. Although I've read stories of people getting back in around a year past the bk, they still won't let me in.
Is there anywhere else I could look for possibly getting a card? Not interested in any store cards.. really would just like a card that could give me more cushion for my utilization for Christmas purchases, preferably with an intro apr because I'd like to carry a balance for about 3-4 months. I was thinking maybe Synchrony but I also included them in bk, so afraid to waste a HP.
Also, is there anything else I can do to improve my approval odds? I've been paying everything on time and no lates since the bk... scores in my sig... 7% overall util, and only 1 card is reporting a balance. aside from the bk I have some 30 day lates from right before I filed, and then also back in 2013 / 2014 I had a couple lates on accounts that are now closed.

I'm thinking I will just leave things alone and be happy with what I have, hopefully by 2021 I will be in a better position for a decent card.
