I have been working my credit for 2 years now. Two YEARS of no late payments at all. My score barely moved. I took a closer look and used the simulator here on MyFico. I discovered that if I paid off all those old collection accounts, my score would soar. It took a long time, but I finally paid off the last "charged off" account earlier this month. Experian went up 58 points! Equifax went up 52 points. I have been waiting for Transunion to show up. This morning I finally got the email from MyFico that I was waiting for.....Transunion updated...finally...57 points up! Woo hoo! Oh, wait.....not so fast....I looked at my scores on the "graph". IN THE SAME DAY, my Transunion went up 57 points and dropped 57 points. WHAT the heck is going on? There are no little notes or ANYTHING that tells me what happened. I am so disgusted right now. I need that Transunion score to move so I can get my loan. Anyone ever experience this? Thanks for your input.
I'm not sure why your scores would go up and down in the same day. I'm not even sure that's possible, as scores only update once a day.
Also, never go by what simulators anywhere say. They're all inaccurate.
If all collections came off you might have transferred to a new score card. I have read on here that it will do exactly that. It is a drop normal at first but in a few months should climb much higher than you could have on the previous score card. Look up score card on here and you will see what I am talking about. Not positive but sounds plausible
Hi, thanks for your reply. I didn't think it was possible to go up and down in one day, that is what shocked me. If I could post a snip of the graph I would. I am not looking at the simulator in this situation, I am looking at my fico score according to MyFico. Experian and Equifax both shot up also....but stayed there. I am hoping it will somehow straighten itself out tomorrow. If not I will need to contact Transunion.
I will take a look at that, thank you. If that was the case wouldn't it happen with Equifax and Experian also?

You said you used the simulator here on MF and discovered if you paid your charge offs, your "score would soar." So you did use them at some point. I'm just saying don't use them, as they're inaccurate. And I hope the score boost does come back, but it'd be hard to know unless you can pull up a report from before/after the score fluctuations to narrow down what happened. Good luck with contacting TU...CSRs aren't always the most helpful. But hopefully you get a knowledgeable one (Not being sarcastic or anything).
