debt validation

I recieved an email from a company called True Accord saying i owe 90.00 on a check that bounced back in 2009!!  I asked for them to validate the debt, they emailed me back with just a banking account info but no pic of the actual check.  I just was discharged a chpt7. How should i handle this bottom feeder? Can they actually tag my CR as a collections being 12 years old? Or should i just ignore this?

In response to your dispute we reached out to the current creditor listed above who provided us
with the following information to validate your account.
While an image of your check is not available because the check was cashed electronically, the
details of the transaction are as follows:
Transaction Date: 9/10/2009
Bank Routing Number: 304083396
Bank Account Number: 1001473989
Amount: $60.99
Please let us know if you have additional questions.
Best Regards,
TrueAccord

Re: debt validation

It's past the statute of limitations, tell them to cease communications, you are not legally liable for it

Not only that, but it is also past the credit reporting period as well.

OP, you can send a cease and desist letter and they must leave you alone, but beware this debt may keep getting sold indefinitely and you may keep getting contacted from time to time by these zombie debt collectors.
