1. I've read the HIPPA section
2. For (2) medical collections, I followed the steps 1, 2 and 3
3. I fell into scenario 1 (verified and unpaid)
a. HIPPA letter to OC w/payment and restrictive endorsement
4. received green card back/verified payment cashed
5. mailed follow-up letter to CRA
Here's where I stand todate:
1. Received call from one of the medical OC's They left a message stating
- received my letter
- asked that I return the call so they could tell me how they intended to proceed
2. Checked reports
- Transunion - both medical collection GONE!!! Yeah!
- Experian/Equifax - both medical collection still appear
So, what to do?
1. Do I return the call of the medical collection that called me?
2. Is it likely that since it doesn't appear on Transunion, that Experian and Equifax are slower in updating
3. Or should I write additional letters?
Thanks!
1.) We'll decide what to do based on the outcome of your disputes and whether or not the CA bothers to validate.
2.) Just see what they want (or what they're planning on doing) and be cordial. If you don't like their plan, let it be and don't argue with them, it won't accomplish anything. Also, don't tip them off on what will becoming their way at a later time.
Good, you're a third of the way there.
1.) Yes, call them.
2.) Its hard to say, but usually EX is the fastest with disputes.
3.) No
Thanks Fused for the quick response, a couple follow-ups
1. How long do I wait for the other CRA's to clear and if they don't what do I do next?
2. How should I handle the call to OC medical collection 1
