Looks like the Amex Delta Platinum will be metal card. I messed up mine and request for a new card earlier today. The top option was to request a metal card. Can anyone confirm this on their Amex Delta Platinum or Amex Delta Reserve. My new metal Delta Platinum card have a Feb 12th delivery date.

I just did the same thing. Metal card by Feb 12th.....

I just got my new Delta 3 days ago. It was plastic. I am so gonna "lose" it

I'm keeping mine plastic.
1. Easier to insert at the check-in kiosk.
2. My wallet is heavy enough.
3. My no-fee Plan It window closed a few days ago, so I won't really be using the card much in the first place. Schwab is the better card for spending.
I miss the little sparkle of red that the old design added to my "stack" of cards in the upper right part of the Amex website. Back to drab black, blue, and gray.

Me too...

Mine is plastic.
I get that a LOT of people feel there is a certain panache to being able to whip out a metal card (I have several, this isn't sour grapes), but they aren't the end-all be-all.
Just received an email highlighting all the new/changed benefits for the Delta Platinum Amex. What I didn't know from any previous thread is that they were issuing a Metal Card....true, am I late to the party? ![]()
Well, I followed the link...and it's real... ![]()
Discussed in "Major Changes to AMEX Delta Cards" in CC forum and in Smorg.
