If you could have only ONE card....

What would it be? ONLY one.

For me, I guess the Amex BCE.  Groceries and gas are big for me.

EDIT: I guess I should specify—one CREDIT card LOL. Debit isn’t part of this equation

Amex BCE: 18k
Discover It: 17.2k
Citi DC: 4.7k
BBVA Compass ClearPoints: 4k
US Bank Cash +: 1k
Capital One SavorOne: 1k

Re: If you could have only ONE card....

Probably the Chase Sapphire Reserve, with a shout-out to the Barclay Uber Visa.

The BCP is good for what it's good for, but our grocery and gas spend isn't big.

(My BCE only recently became a BCP because Amex gave me 250 reasons to upgrade. Smiley Wink)

Cards: several. Income: adequate. Credit: abundant.
INQs: excessive. Last INQ: recent.
Oldest account: adult. Youngest account neonate.
All scores above 810.

On the wagon.

Assuming that one card wasn't subject to the whims of things like random Financial Reviews, while on vacation...

I would go with a reputable credit union, with a large limit. They are unlikely to shut the card down for no good reason.

Either that, or a top tier travel card with a high annual fee. Like CSR, or Prestige. Again, they are unlikely to shutter for no good reason, particularly when receiving a high annual fee. Plus... exclusive benefits.

Along those lines, I would think a Social Security card would win.

Joking aside, CSR for travel rewards, a Visa for Costco, and good customer service.

Major spend: CSR, BBP, Costco
Rewards/AAoA ballast: CF, CFU, Discover, ED, BCE, Arrival, DoubleCash
Perks: Schwab Platinum, IHG49, Hyatt75
Bonus chasing: Aviator Red, SPG Luxury, Savor

Interesting. Seems like a lot of people love the CSR

Re: If you could have only ONE card....

Just for clarification: is a debit card excluded?
If I could still carry my debit card then I would keep my Discover.
