I took advantage of a system glitch back in June to gather some data on this. Best I could determine is status is primarily a function of posts and minutes on line. Many posters lost most of their minutes while retaining # of posts. That's what happened to me. Others lost post count.

The minimum posts to potentially achieve designated rank thresholds should be accurate up through senior contributor. Certain minimums are required for minutes on-line as well. Other criteria may also need to be satisfied to "rank up" but those two have been verified.
As far as HTML and pasting in pictures not really sure what level is required. Perhaps Regular Contributor?
