Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Getting interested in crytpo currency and this card seemed apropros.

Here is an unboxing of this metal card (dunno why I got black as I ordered the special bitcoin Orange.)

The front is clean with no PII  while the reverse has your engraved name.  Absent are the PAN, CVC and expiration date.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Great looking card! I don't know why I appreciate good card design and material so much - especially when cards are often used in digital wallets these days, but the card design and material makes a difference to me. Even if I add it to my digital wallet, card design (along with what it can do for me of course) makes a difference. For example, in Chase I like the sapphire cards, but I dislike the way my freedom flex looks, which resluts in less desire to use it, but I still use it for what I got it for. Logically, card design and material shouldn't matter to me; only what it can do for me should matter.

Does it also say, "World Elite" on the bottom front under the MC logo (which is covered up)?

Thanks for sharing the unboxing.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Added a full frontal view of this card @ktm.    No wording under the silver balls.

If you look carefully at the Last picture of the first message,  do know that "elite" word  is engraved under the printed  "world."   The engraving  is a bit strange imho like an after-thought.

I will report back after I get the Bitcoin orange version.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

I've screenshotted and saved my card's information (card number, expiration and CVV) from the View Card option at Gemini's website to my phone in case I need it. Great card which I have grown to love in the last few weeks.

Approved on 12/18/24 with a SL of 2K.  Auto-CLI to 15K on 5/26/25.  Just added money to my BTC account, and plan on diverting some of monthly spend from my BofA CCR.

I've grown to love this card. The auto-CLI sure helped.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Congrats. Gemini Card user here as well. Solid rewards if having your cash back deposited in the form of Crypto is appealing. Rewards rate is on par with anyone else on the high end.

The only negative is Credit Line Increases are fully up to them. You can't request one via their portal and you can't get one via calling. If you use it alot and pay it off then out of the blue you will get a email saying "You represent one of our best customers" here is a CLI.

@USMCOne True about the CLI issue. I pretty much assumed I would not get one since I wasn't putting much on the card. Since I received it in January, I only put a total of around $500 on it and paid in full. Out of the blue...just as you described...I got the CLI email. Completely unexpected.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Sharp looking card, not so special on rewards.  SUB is not so special either for the spend.   I never get a card for CL padding or looks, pass.

BofA: Citi:US Bank:Chase:Aven:RH:

Spend: Less than 10k per year organic (frugal). MS varies, can be more significant.

I am about the same as well. I use Apple pay to pay for everything the card design nowadays for myself is not relevant. I can't think of a time I've pulled any cards out in the last couple years to pay for anything.

Re: Unboxing of the Gemini Card

Like the card so far and use it for a few hundred a month is all after meeting the sub also increased use when i see a dip of bitcoin i try to swipe it more vs when at all time highs to maximize the rewards.  Easily can beat the 3-4% cats if you time it correctly and BTC or whatever currency you have continues to appreciate.  Not really meant for short term rewards imho and I am not using it that way all my BTC earned is staying active and hopefully will hit new highs every few months.  Not sure what my end goal is whether will cash out in a few years or let it ride until i retire as crypto is interesting.   Back when I mined ETH with gpus I would cash out a few times a week depending on gas fees / earnings and price but this is a bit different.

Nice card and no issues with it at all..  Only thing that is a weird oddity of the card is the available credit doesn't get made available until after 30 days after payment so if you don't have an adequate credit line you are some what limited but not an issue for me but could be for people with 1k CL's
