Yeah, worst ever.

Nuts?

....When you buy a mixed can of nuts and there's enough salt in there to make the Dead Sea look like a freshwater lake.

Or when all the pecans are...just gone.

Re: What makes you nuts?

It also makes me *nuts* when people complain about incorrect grammar, or sentence structure.   This is a public forum, it's not SCHOOL.  Smiley Wink

Re: What makes you nuts?

We don't learn things in school just so that we can use them in school.  That would be ridiculous.

Agree!

And when my 3 yr old answers everything with "Why?"   OMG I'll be so glad to see that phase pass. I think it is worse than the terrible twos.

Re: What makes you nuts?

I find it absolutely ridiculous,  that you come to a public forum, and complain about improper sentence structure, grammar or spelling.

We have MANY posters here,  from a wide range of backgrounds.  I'm guessing that english is a second language to many.

We come here to SUPPORT each other; that may mean *reading between the lines*.   I'm happy to provide whatever support, encouragement or advice that I can, without the whine.

Re: What makes you nuts?

I thought this was a good-natured thread asking what "drives you nuts"; I simply answered.  I didn't directly criticize anyone.  Your attacking me for simply sharing my opinion is far worse than my answering honestly.

Re: What makes you nuts?

Internet Etiquette - Online Grammar People using message boards and chat groups have varying typing and literacy skills. Other net users may not be typing in their first language. Riding people about their spelling or grammar in informal online settings is generally considered rude. It's okay to politely ask for clarification if misspellings make the message unclear, though. This is from a internet etiquette website. BTW I am very guilty of improper grammar. I am not upset that someone has their opinion on what bothers them, she is just stating her opinion......I will still be me bad grammar and all!

Re: What makes you nuts?

Let's remember that I didn't "ride" anyone.  Gosh, I hope no one disagrees with what drives any of you nuts.  Didn't know it was such a volatile question to answer.

Re: What makes you nuts?

I work retail, too, and they insist we have our first name on our nametags. I really hate it when people who do not know me insist on using my first name over and over again in 3 minute sale (I'm a cashier for a grocery store).  It would be different if I introduced myself to these people, and they were actually trying to be nice, but I feel like most of the time it is a pathetic attempt to put me in some sort of place beneath them--they know something about me--that I can't possibly know about them.

Its funny, too, because I have to see all of their ID's because I work for a Military Commissary.  I think I am going to learn all of their names and use it back on them. See how they like it.

I really don't care that much about grammar, as long as it is somewhat capable of being read.
