How much fun was that datsun?
it was a blast. Loved that car! unfortuantely someone hit me and totaled the front end.
Sometimes after all these years, i still get sentimental and think about looking for another....who knows.
She will come back to you, all the good ones always come back
I also had a Datsun. B210. Went 50 MPH downhill. LOL Never got a speeding ticket.

Ha! was it the yellow Honey Bee edition?
Not my first car but I had a an Isuzu Pup 5 speed manual. Disiel. I loved that little pickup. it would fly. I had a guy that worked for me that needed a car for him and his wife so I sold it to him when I had i had it for 7 year. Never needed any repairs. Then bought a Ford Ranger. I loved that pup. No ac however.
Ahh first car. I got to drive an awesomely (ugly) ‘89 Toyota Corolla. I made 5.15 an hour and my dad made me pay for the insurance. It was so embarrassing driving that car haha.
I will never forget getting my license. My dad wanted me to wait a few days after my birthday but they were changing to the restricted license so I begged and begged to get them on my birthday. Fun times.
I just bought a ‘15 Honda Civic Si 6 speed which is such a fun car to drive even though it is a 4 banger. Every car I’ve bought myself since has been a manual because at first I wanted to show my dad I could drive one but now I love them. He would not teach me and it would make me so mad because I think it’s because I am a female. So I taught myself. ![]()
Manual is great until you hit a city or have some steep slopes like where I live.

I drove my little '79 Datsun pickup about 80mph back and forth to college. Was stopped 3 times, only got a ticket once, right in front of my dormitory. (In fact, my being stopped to ticket ratio overall is about 7:3) That poor little truck, I did end up blowing the head gasket one time. By the time I sold it in '91, it was a pretty tired little truck. ![]()

Did you love your Ranger? I had a '94 that was my third truck. It was the extended cab XLT, 2wd, with the 4.0 liter V6, and also a manual. I loved that truck.

That's a bummer that he wouldn't teach you. I learned on a '69 (I think) Ford pickup. My grandpa taught me.
