HELP!! Student loan Rehab

Long story short... I have been trying to repair my credit to purchase a home next year. I started in the low 400's last year across the board due to my lack of knowledge on credit when I was young. This also had led me to let my student loans go into collections. I am currently rehabbing my student loans and I just made my 7th payment.

My fico scores currently at EQ 614 TU 677 EX 646 I decided to look at my report a little bit more closely since I have been obessing about my credit and I can't seem to stay away from reading the forums. Smiley Indifferent Well I my I copied below what I just noticed on my reports and realized to this date they are STILL reporting late payments.... Is this even normal??

Once I finish my rehab will it delete all these late payments even the ones to this date? I am having a panic attack right now and don't know if maybe I am just being over paranoid. Any help is much appreciated. Smiley Sad

Re: HELP!! Student loan Rehab

This is happening to me also , just made my 8th payment and got to looking closely at things bc like you I'm obsessed and I was in the 400s in Jan and have managed to clean everything but , my SL is the last thing left , I'm about to make my last payment this mth .. but yes im not sure if it's right for them to do this but it deff shows up as late even thought im making my payment every mth . I asked about it and was told it would be like that until I am done with rehab then all that will be erased .

Re: HELP!! Student loan Rehab

Just wanted to added.  After I finished my rehab for my 4 defaulted student loans (deptofed/nelnet) the current tradelines from the default were deleted completely.  However, the original tradelines with the late payments leading up to the default still remain.  I have tried everything to get Nelnet to delete but they will not delete original tradelines.  They only change the default status to pays as agreed but leaves the late payment history.  Just an FYI for you guys.

Re: HELP!! Student loan Rehab

I got Great Lakes to remove ALL of my lates from my orginal Tradelines , I guess it's all up to the lender , I've heard bad things about Nalnet . So far everything has been removed and updates and all lates gone from everything except EX , they just put in the request to have them removed on the 13th so I was told it can take 30 days or so to update depending on each bureau. Oh also want to add that in my orginal disputes my lates were not removed . I disputed right as soon as my loan was rehabbed and picked up by the new lender . But I reached out to Great Lakes via FB message and she got back with me very fast and insured me that everything all lates would be removed from all 3 CB . The power of social media is great nowdays , maybe try that with Nalnet ?

Re: HELP!! Student loan Rehab

Well if your rehabbing the SL they are in default which means the original creditor no longer handles those loans , you will have to go through a collection agency, if you don't know which one is handling them you call Dept of Education and they will give you that info .
