Hello,
Checking in for August. I currently have a 740 Experian Vantage3 and I have failed because my goal was to get a 745 by today. Even so, I increased it from 722. My other scores are Experian Fico8 743, Equifax Fico8 788, and TransUnion Fico8 758. The main reason I failed is because I applied for 3 new credit cards over the past 4 months, 2 of which were approved (US Bank State Farm Visa, Robinhood Gold) and 1 of which were denied (OneKey). So this lowered by Average Age of Account, and I have 6 inquiries over the last 12 months, but it increased my credit limit, which is now $56k.
I will rest for a month and then start a new goal in September. I certainly don't need any more credit at least through the end of the year.
Starting Score: 726 (Experian VantageScore3)Rebuild going great. Experian and TransUnion solidly above 700. Utilization is below 10%.
Equifax is causing some heartburn, stuck at 691. MyFico indicates that my most recent 30 day late occured March....but according to my EQ credit report this 30 day late doesn't exist. This "ghost late" is negatively impacting my score, however. Just waiting that one out. Was going to dispute it, but **bleep** it. It'll go away in time.
Otherwise, all is good!
Starting Score: 611This thread is a good reminder to set some goals. I need to pull a credit report to see where I am - I know my scores are fine, I just want to read everything through and make sure it's ship-shape in case of a major purchase next year. I also expect to do some financial and estate planning before the end of the year.
That's about it. Hope everyone's well and enjoying summer's end.
