12 point Drop on my Transunion!!

Hello everyone I'm new to the forums I have a couple of questions. I recently had a major Baddie removed off my credit report which was a collection student loan. My Transunion and experian both went up by about 60  points. Trans Union went from 695 to 753. This was about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I woke up to my updated credit report ,which I use CCT to view. And.my fico 8 had dropped by 12 points to 741. The only thing that changed on my report was I had a credit card go from reporting a $2 balance which had me at 1% utilization on it to paying it off and now.it's reporting as 0. I have 3 other credit cards 2 of which are also at 0 balance and I have an American express.of which I am authorized user on that's reporting at $481 out of $25000. My total credit.comes to 26400.so I'm at 2%.  From reading all of the forums I was under the impression that to raise my scores optimally I should only have 1 card report a balance so I did.so you could imagine my surprise when I woke up to a 12 point Drop. I looked thru the credit reports and once again the only change was the other card reporting 0 now instead of $2. What would be the reason for this because I'm lost. Could it be because my only card reporting a balance is a card I'm an authorized  user on? Or could I have been rebucketted cuz I have seen that mentioned on the forums. It's just that it didn't happen when the collection fell off it was 2 Weeks later right when I paid that card to 0. Should I let that card report a small balance again? Please help because I'm trying to get a house in the next.couple of.months and need the best scores possible! Thank you so much everyone. If u need more.info just let.me.know

Re: 12 point Drop on my Transunion!!

If you are looking at buying a house and getting a mortgage then FICO 8 is irrelevant.

You need to look at your EQ 04 TU 04 and EX 98.

Those scores will not react the same as FICO 8  with respect to utilization and authorized users.

Could be that Fico 8 doesnt consider your relationship to the AU relevant, I.e. close family member and is discounting it. I would always let a few bucks report on you own card

Re: 12 point Drop on my Transunion!!

See i thought that could have been it but the only thing is my fico 8 updated when i was added as an authorized user on that card and showed the new account and added available credit and balance and also counted it toward my utilization and it reported and jumped my score by 18 points. So that shows that they are taking that card into account right? So could that count all of that but still not look at that as my 1 card reporting ?

Re: 12 point Drop on my Transunion!!

FICO 8 doesn't see the balance of the AU as UTI of yours.
I.E my wife and I are AU on each other's cards. Her UTI is differ by than mine. They don't count what she owes as a factor in my UTI. Therefore if I let all my CC report 0 my UTI is 0, even tho my AU card is carring a balance. So I always, always let one of my cards report a balance.

The only benefit I get from the AU is history (AAoA) and the avalible credit to me to help with my own personal cards UTI.

Ok thanks!! That makes perfect sense. Will be reporting a $2 balance this month in hopes to get my exact points back!
