I will start, if you can avoid Total visa or any Bank of Missouri card please do. So this account had one late payment back in February and that was the last time they reported to Experian. So even though I was making payments every month, it was like this account was frozen in time only on this credit bureau. The account now has a 0$ balance. So I decide, that I'm going to dispute the account with Experian so that they will update the information. In my mind I've been making regular payments since February and since then have paid the account off, so when they finally report, all will be good.
What was I thinking.....I should've just left it alone. Normally when I dispute, its via mail, but I figured this was a simple update so it should be ok to do it online. When the dispute results came back, tell me why did they update the account to reflect a 30 day late payment as if it occured in July 2022!!! Mind you I have a 0$ balance so thats not even techncally possible, and the balance they reported was technically over the limit of the card. So naturally this dropped my score 19 points.
I called Total Visa....gave them a piece of my mind and they basically said, oh yeah we've been having problems reporting to Experian. When the heck were they going to tell somebody. Now I'm stuck with a more recent late payment, and them reporting my balance as over the limit even though its been paid off. The other bureaus are reporting this account accurately. I mailed a dispute letter today to Experian with copies of my credit card statement and screenshots of my credit report that dispay the two other bureaus information.
What else can I do???
Well no more lates. 19 points is all you lost over the late? Not their fault. Febuary is pretty fresh. Disputing updated the late. Just let it be. Dispute only inaccurate entries.

Not sure you understood the post. The bottlom line is that I only disputed with Experian because they had not been providing updates to Experian for 6 months. The information they had was as of Februrary and it would be currently inaccurate. When Experian supposedly went through the process of verifying the information, Total Visa provided them back inaccurate information saying that I had a late payment in July 2022 when I did not. I actually have a balance of $0 and the only late payment was back in February.
I have now re-disputed the information with both Experian and the creditor because its inaccurate. When they reported the late payment as if it was a current one, that's what dropped my score.
Equifax and Transunion have the correct information for this account, which is why I curently have a significant difference in my scores from EX vs EQ and TU.
If EX and Total Visa still won't cooperate and fix it, file a complaint with the CFPB and AG of your state.
I get what your saying. They're off by 5 months on the late date. Nor have reported in that time frame. But you only lost 19 points on a new late?

Yes only a 19 point drop......granted my scores are not high to begin with so that's probably why its not more.........
