AAOYA Threshold

I did a search but couldn't find anything.  Are there thresholds when it come to AAOYA or just an average age of all revolving accounts?  Individual and aggregate.  Thanks in advance.

I don't think AAOYA is a thing.

I think you mean AAoA (average age of accounts).

Yes there are thresholds but we don't really know what they are. I recently felt like I experienced one at 4 years 6 months.

I know @Anonymous believes he can identify a number of thresholds in AAoA.

Re: AAOYA Threshold

"Y" refers to "youngest" so I think you are confusing AAoA (average age of accounts) and AoYA (age of youngest account).

Youngest refers to just one single account, so by definition there is nothing to average.

Perhaps you read along the way AAoRA, or average age of revolving accounts?

Re: AAOYA Threshold

@Gladius Yeah there are thresholds for AAoA, AAoRA, AoYA, AoYRA and more OP. The first one is average age of accounts, the second one is the average age of revolving accounts and the third one is age of youngest account and the last is age of the youngest revolving account.

Which one are you looking for? If you will read the Scoring Primer linked at the top of my signature it will explain and answer a lot of questions.

Since you mentioned average age of revolving accounts, I think you may mean AAoRA. We've had a report of one at 9 years and I think report of one somewhere else, but it's so new that everybody's just now beginning to look and pay attention to it because it was only recently realized to be a metric, even though the reason codes have mentioned oldest/average age of revolving accounts since before I was here. But unfortunately we're just now beginning to track it, so we've got much to learn.

And I’ve just collected data points for the thresholds that exist based on the data points members share.

The AAoRA & AAoA.  The average age of all my revolving accounts (all CCs and store cards) right now right 7 years.  Thank you.  Your link helped out a lot.

Re: AAOYA Threshold

I’m glad the link helped you. we have learned that revolving is more important for utilization, balance, age, pretty much everything is weighted towards revolving. I think that’s going to change with version 10 though.
