My EX increased 14 points the other day after I paid off 1 of 2 cards that had a balance. I thought that it was bc I decreased my bal. It didn't hit me til browsing the forums today that it may have been bc of AZEO. My util before AZEO was 5% and now it's 3%...I'm going to browse the forums for an answer, but if you know if I'll get extra points for decreasing util even more, let me know.
I'm not sure but I think you might.
So in June my UTIL was 4%. It went up to 30% in July (before I understood AZEO and that 30% isn't good...). Anyway I'm down to just under 9% for August.
Here's my point- Let's use my EQ. Its been consistent over the last 90days.
June 780 - 4% util
July 742 - 30% util
Aug 774 - 9% util
Since utilization (it's the only acct on the report) is the absolute only thing that changed in the 3mth period I'd assume that if I'd gone down to 4% it would be back at 780.
Based on this it's safe to say that if you get your UTIL down - points go up ever so slightly. Of course that's if everything else on your report remains consistent
I'm going to go down to Abt 1-2% UTIL this month to see what happens to it after that.
Will keep you posted.
Good luck!

I can't get EX 8 to move like that at AZEO, even on my very sensitive new-to-credit scorecard. The only time it moves that much is when I'm at some aging threshold like 3 or 6 months since I got a new card. [Age of Youngest Account (AoYA) or Age of Youngest Revolving Account (AoYRA)]
Has it been 3 or 6 months since getting your most recent card? It counts from the 1st of the month, so that would be May or February.
But none of this means AZEO didn't cause that for you, because different scorecards can react quite differently.
Here's what happened at AZEO with 1 of 2 cards, for me on my new-to-credit scorecard (2 cards only, both 1yr 1mo old):
CassieCard 3B Report - Score changes at AZEO, CRA Comparison MTG(Mortgage), AUT(Auto), and BKC(Bankcard) scores are 5,4,2 from the top. |
| 8 | BC8 | AU8 | MTG | AUT | BKC | 9 | BC9 | AU9 | 3 |
EQ | +19 | +23 | +20 | +1 | +1 | +4 | +16 | +17 | +17 | |
TU | +14 | +22 | +16 | +6 | +6 | +6 | +27 | +27 | +27 |
|
EX | 0 | +3 | 0 | +10 | +9 | +7 | +6 | +6 | +6 | +2 |
AoOA 2yr1mo | AAoA 1yr5mo | AoYA/AoYRA/AAoRA 1yr1mo |
8% to 5% aggregate change, ($816 to $539), TCL $11K |
(9 & 8) to (0 & 6)% on 2 individual cards |
For my personal credit profile, 3% credit utilization results in the highest credit score
When I am at 2% or even 1% utilization, my credit score is lower than when I am at 3%
When I am 0% it is just about as bad of a hit as if I was at 80%+ credit utilization
