How much is the AF on that $5,800 CL? That's a pretty decent amount to be losing by closure. Have you considered asking the issuer if it's possible to change to a card with no AF? That might be worth trying.

Good point. I have no idea what else you have what your scores are clean reports or not but those lines probably won't be that easy to replace. Some posters with decent profiles have reported getting lines from Citi under 5K. If you have decent scores and income 10K would not be an unreasonable amount to get from a strong credit union.
They refuse to convert any of the accounts over to a No AF card. So i need to close them to avoid the fee. CS TU 716. How long will it take to recoup the lost points ?

What are these Cap One and Orchard/Household? I don't know how hard you've tried to get these fees forgiven but you might not get limits as high as these from other issuers.
They are Cap one and Househald /Orchard accounts. I just dont want to keep paying fees for cards i dont use.

That's not a "real" score. What is your Equifax score from here look like? Lenders have tightened up a lot on balance. If you are hell bent on getting a new card why not try Citi Platinum Select and see what they give you? You might not be too happy. Don't go for all 3 at once it might be very counterproductive.
That score was from here . SO i am guessing no one knows how long it will take to recoup the points? IDC what bank it is as long as it does not have an AF

Don't use them? So it looks like you will have around 15K available left if you close those three cards. If you let 1200 Dollars report every month you still fall in the very good dept for utilization. I'd see what Citi gives you.

Do you have any negatives at all on any of your reports? How long it takes to recoup depends upon a lot of things. You mentioned CS TU 716. What does CS stand for?
CS= Credit score. refid a mortgage in Dec 09 lost 9 points as a result. No other baddies
