Ohh I see. So I didn't gain 3 more points on EQ for using my cc, I only regained the 20 points I lost, then 3 points for my age. I'm still very new at evaluating my scores.

I made the same mistake in evaluating my 'super temporary All Zero' scores.

I started learning about FICO scoring here on the forums about a year and 3 months ago, when I ordered a myFICO 1B report on December 4, 2018. I had a TU FICO 8 score of 666 on that date - clean file, 2 inquiries, and 1 single account, an SSL that I....get this....gardened for a year! haha So I'm new too.

Think of it like this: Had you done nothing this month and let the same exact balances report, you would have seen EQ 8 +3 and EX 8 +2. I think it was from that AoYA 1yr 6mo. (I thought that said 1yr 5mo before. AoOA is not supposed to be a scoring factor.)

@Traveler101 had 5 cards and lost more for AZ on EX 8. Maybe that's a threshold - 5 vs. our 4 and 2.

Lol! Your eyes aren't mistaking you. It did say 1yr, 5mo, but then changed it yesterday because yesterday's date is technically when my AoYA turned 1yr 6mo.

This thread has been an interesting read !

I think a few "MyFico Forum Members" have way too much time on their hands, and love spreadsheets.

Re: All Zero Penalty to AZEO

All aging takes place on the first of the month.

AOOA is not a scoring factor, it is a segmenter. TT recently acknowledged there was a mistake in the previous thread that seemed to make it seem the other way around.

All AU accounts at zero will incur the same penalty as all zero on primary accounts, IF the AU accounts are counting on version 8.

Yes having a thin profile makes everything much more reactive as does having a young account as does having an account without a loan on record open or closed. So does being in a new account scorecard, so to compare you really have to compare all those factors.

Seems like there was something else that I wanted to address, but I can’t remember what it was.

Thanks, Birdman! I believe it was Cassie who said it was my AoYA turning 1yr 6mo that caused a couple point increase.

Re: All Zero Penalty to AZEO

AoYA is also a segmenter, not a scoring factor.

However there’s no doubt that some people get points at 3, 6, & 9 months of what appears to be AoYA.

It’s my theory that this has something to do with payment history. Maybe so many months of a new account being on your report without a delinquency? Haven’t got it all figured out yet, but we know AoYA, actually more specifically age of youngest card, because it excludes loans but I believe it includes charge cards so we have to broaden the term revolver. AoYC? I think it has something to do with that and that way it would track nicely.

Re: All Zero Penalty to AZEO

So the short answer is it’s probably is the 1.5 year aging factor, it’s probably just counting it as that long having your youngest card without delinquency.

That may explain some discrepancies in @Anonymous ‘s first year only having a loan rather than a credit card.
