Hey quick question does anyone know how much impact an app spree for three cards will impact my credit profile score?
For example will my score go down less because I did three in one day vs spread out?
Today I got approved for AMEX BCE, Chase Freedom, and Discover Cash Back.
I got an alert on Experian when Chase, AMEX and Disco pulled but my FICO 8 score only dropped 6points. Only 6 points?
Just curious. I plan to let my accounts age but I know Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, CreditWise, Credit Journey by Chase and Wallet Hub will take a while to update. They are my TU and EQ resources. And then I rely on Exp.
UPDATE: I spoke with a Chase CSR and she said that I should be fine because she would be able to tell on her screen based on inquiry activity if it is "pending closure." I don't think I am home free yet but I thought at least this is a good start to the activation.
That's going to depend on several factors, including when was your last most recent card opened (if not too long ago, new account penalty is already in place), impact on AAoA, whether it leads to positive utilization changes etc.
If you have a thin file, you might feel it more.
Just as a side note, Chase cards and app "sprees" dont mix well, and right now with the current situation, it's probably true even more.
I hope it all works out for you.
Last account before today's approvals was Dec 2019. And when you say Chase and sprees don't mix well? They pull my score down more?

Remedios is referring to the 3 cards opened. Chase doesn't like multiple apps. May lead to closure.

That would be upsetting I didn't know Chase was that particular, how long would it take before I'd know if they close the card?
also Chase was my 5/24 then I applied for Disco and was approved.

It's YMMV. Chase does multiple SP checks within first few months. You'd know by logging in, or an alert from CM. Chill and garden, it's been done. Hopefully no AA.
Can you provide more information about your profile like your scores, thickness of file, AAOA, etc.
Also keep us updated for the next few months I'm interested to see if chase does anything.

1. FICO scores won't meaningfully differentiate between 3 in 1 day versus 3 over a period of a few weeks. It will factor the inquiries and new accounts the same.
2. Your scores from CK, CS, CW, CJ, and WH are all Vantage scores, not FICO scores.
3. 3 new accounts + the inquiries will no doubt cause some short term losses in your FICO scores.

AAOA - 5yrs 8mo before app spree
I would say my profile is not too thin, but I am not sure what determines thickness. I'll say I have an auto loan aged at 4yrs and Mortgage loan aged at 5+ years, student loans aged at 10years. All of which I pay more than the minimun. And after the app spree I will have 7 CC with Utilization under 10% before app spree.
I will keep up to date on the Chase card, I was unaware that they would pull an approval. Makes sense now though, they abide by that 5/24 rule. Hope there is no AA, maybe since I bank with them they'll consider my balances that I am not on my last dime looking for credit.
