Balance Change Alert

Hello all,

Just a quick question. I have had two balance change alerts in the past two days.  Previously, when my balance updated, I would get a hefty raise in my credit score.  I didn't get one this time and my balance has gone down even more.  I was wondering does it take a while for my score to catch up, or should it be something that is instant, and my score just didn't change at all this month, when these were posted?

Re: Balance Change Alert

If you're talking about scorewatch, it looks for changes every 7 - 10 days.  Sometimes the score will change after the alert.

I had a similar question.. I paid down 2 credit cards to show a 0 balance, but my reports are still showing the high amount.  it's been a month now since those were paid off. Smiley Sad

Re: Balance Change Alert

I think that you would need to use another updated report to see if it shows as changed.

Did your score go up?

Re: Balance Change Alert

I'm waiting to see if my score went up... I pulled my report with a lender 10/15 and a week before that I had paid the balances off.  I just signed up for the scorewatch yesteday, and my inforamtion is still the same.
