Thought this was kind of interesting, and annoying since I'm trying to get all my scores above 800
I recently received an Auto CLI on my Amazon Prime card from $5k to $15k. I called in and had them split my increase with my Chase FF so that the FF would now be $10,600 and my Amazon Prime would be $10k. Well the Prime card reported with the newest CL at $15k and then the FF reported with the increased CL at $10,600 soon after so for a little while there I had a fluffed total credit line.
Yesterday the Amazon Prime card updated from $15k down to $10k and I was dinged 3 points on EX from 799 to 796. This changed my overall UTIL from %15 to %16.
Do you think the 3 points came from the credit line decrease or the increase in UTIL? From what I've read the overall UTIL doesn't really impact much?

A 3 point move is too slight to be concerned about. It might or might not be related to the slight increase in utilization.

yeh, not concerned other than the score going the wrong way I'd like. haha More-so curious and trying to understand.
