As far as fico scoring, would it be ideal to get clis on my dcu, barclays, qs1 before applying for csp (again). I never really thought about it but fico looks at low limits no? I think I'd be best to get my 1k barclays card upped via sp in the near future via the apr trick. Dcu sp can be done if I get an offer in the mail right? Its $500 right now. Qs1 is $300 but emailed the eo the other day and they called me today. Told the girl 4k would be nice and I would accept 2k lowest. Will see. But keeping barclays and dcu in the sd seems to be a bad idea if I want clis. Fico looks at usage. Time to work on these now!

No FICO does not look at limits, only percentages of limits used.
DCU is also a HP, not worth doing prior to the CSP application. That said there's been anecdotal data in the past that Chase UW does or has looked at your current lines, but a recent CLI isn't likely to do it... a full report generally has information on it as to how long ago the CLI was granted.

Oh ok, thanks for that. Guess this isn't really a worthy topic of this forum then lol.

Hah, nah, any thread is heh.
SP CLI's generally never hurt, but they're not a secret sauce for obtaining a CSP or other card. What I'd do is post your relevant details over in the CC forum (current lines, how long they've been open and current scores) and get some feedback on whether that's good enough for a CSP or not; I haven't really kept up with that much in the way of UW guidelines on the "low" end (thin / short file) recently so I can't help you that much; however, it's a good time to be applying generally.
Chase Sapphire and Chase Sapphire Preferred were probably the 2nd and 3rd Visa Signatures I was approved for. I did already have one 5k limit reporting from CapitalOne VentureOne at the time. But it was only like 2 months old.
I think if you have a good profile, low utilization, at least 1-2 years of payment history and a few credits cards already, I would try it out.
Otherwise, try for building up your profile a little bit with a capitalone type of card so when you apply for chase they already see you have some experience at 5k.
But like the other poster stated, this is a really good time to be applying if you should be applying kinda of thing.
Well hopefully cap one bumps my qs1 up big time lol. Barclays sp cli seems unlikely so qs1 will be my only option. And if I app for anything else before csp thatll mean 5 accounts in 24 months and I heard thats a no go for chase.
