Collections deleted

So I had my only collection deleted from my Experian credit report. My FICO 8 score went up 3 pts my FICO 2 went up 30 pts. Why is that?

Congratulations on the deletion and score improvement! FICO 2 is used for mortgage lending. I'm not sure why 30 went one way and 3 the other.

In a nutshell, different algorithms.  FICO 2 is used for mortgages, and is more sensitive to amounts owed as well as (I believe) other derogatories.  I hope to be corrected should this be inaccurate.

I did a score simulation to see what my FICO 8 will be next month after making 1 on time payment it shows an increase of about 40 pts. My bills should posted n two weeks, can't wait to see what happens.

I wouldn't put much weight into what any simulator predicts.
