Credit Score Question

I was just looking at my credit scores based on the creditchecktotal site (PLUS Score), which are all different from FICO scores.  Can anyone shed light around why scores are different and which may be most important or reliable?  Do lenders pull scores from FICO, direct from the CRA's...just a bit confused.  Thanks.

Re: Credit Score Question

CCT does not offer FICO scores. And as far as I know, no lender uses those scores from CCT. IMO, ignore them.

Lenders do mostly use FICO scores. They have purchased the rights to use the formula, so when you app for a mortgage, for example, they see the report from the CRAs and scores via their software, or whatever means they use. My primary bank, for example, uses an EQ FICO score, the same on this site, for all of their loan products.

Check out Credit Scoring 101.
