@ccquest as memory serves, I believe each payment was 2% so it could've been 87% or 88%, so maybe you can resolve which one it is for us when you pass it?

I was fully planning on tracking it closely, but decided to check my SL refi rates again and looking like I can get down to 3.07% from 3.93% and I'm probably going to jump on that unless I can get another company to get me even lower...either way going to get the student loan back to 100% haha.

Soooo, I'm definitely not going to be able to get the impact for each %. I just got quoted at 2.238% and hit the Submit Application button. Once that's processed and approved, I'm going to just pay minimums now and save the rest. I'm so happy with that number, especially when they started above 4% this time.

Has anyone ever seen new account on EX2 that was not many new accounts?

There is a code 30 on EX2 that works for a single account opening.

30

Time since most recent account opening is too short

Your FICO® Score considers how recently you opened a new credit account. People who recently opened a new credit account are more likely to miss future payments than those who have not.

9

Too many accounts recently opened

Your FICO® Score was lowered because of recent credit account openings. Opening several credit accounts in a short time period is reflective of greater risk – especially for people with short credit histories.

@Anonymous right but I mean has anyone ever received it in actual practice? There's a lot of codes that we never see. I am aware that there was one I've just never seen it.

Yup! Seeing code 30 right now.

I just posted details on viewing the actual reason code numbers in this thread:

https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Pair-of-Aces-850-EQ8-amp-more-DP-s/m-p/6328263/highlight/true#M187487

...but clearly this discussion belongs here instead!

Pulling codes from a set of the few that still display anything for me these days (Industry option - Auto EQ5:809/TU4:849/EX2:841):

Screen Shot 2021-05-14 at 7.40.39 PM.png

In order, that translates to:

Code 30: "Time since most recent account opening is too short" (3 months, auto loan)

Code 5: "Too many accounts with balances"

Code 23: "Number of bank/national revolving accounts with balances"

Code 14: "Length of time accounts have been established" (24y+ AoOA/AoORA, 8.5y+ AAoA)

Code 8: "Too many inquiries last 12 months" (Just 1!)

Code 9: "Too many accounts recently opened" (car loan, 3 months ago, mortgage refi Dec 2019...)

Code 36: "Length of time open installment loans have been established" (Recent auto and mortgage loans)

Those are all listed here in my Score Factors thread as well. But now I have Code 36 for the Industry option!

I always suspected most of the numbers would match up across the Base + Industry, and this just proves it beyond a doubt. Now I can just copy over the tables I had for the Base models and add these newly discovered Industry codes to it!

Great job on putting together a "living" version of the reason code lists!

I've always used a copy of the PDF from FICO (this one: https://www.fico.com/en/resource-access/download/3425 ) for local reference - notice that 36 is ONLY an industry option (Auto/Bankcard) for Experian, while it's ONLY a mortgage code (the defunct mortgage option, not the Classic 5/4/2 actually used for lending) for Equifax and Transunion.

That PDF is the first one I found, and then I found the highly detailed FICO 8 ones for all 3 CRAs (individual PDFs), plus a master list that FICO had which covers pretty much everything out there (even defunct). With your discovery, I can now tell which of the master list belong to the Industry options, with the number.

@Revelate OK thank you! AWB is there for dirty cards. And if you don't think new accounts could be in fifth place, then SO must be in a dirty card @Slabenstein. The lack of the new account reason code & having a new account under 18 months is going to demonstrate SO is still in a dirty card, I believe.

@Revelate I would expect AZEO to optimize even if it wasn't because of AWB, because it also optimizes balance, Utilization, ect... btw, thank you! We are trying to figure out at what point do profiles stop returning to clean cards at 2 years on mortgage scores. We believe a 60 day late does, apparently a 120 does not.

So now we need to find out when and if 90 and 120s go back to a clean cards on the mortgage Scores.

Not sure if AWB is there for EX2 on dirty scorecards or not.  My scorecard doesn't have many accounts with balances at this time, but my DW's report is nearly full (cycled sockdrawered cards recently and let them report a balance).  She has 9 of 11 CC's reporting a balance, most under $10 but I did allow a few larger balances report this month.  1 auto loan with a balance, no other loans.  She has a BK7 from 2012 still reporting, no collections or other derogs.  Below is her EX2 from today.

Her EX2 had been rock solid for many, many months @ 709 up until her last INQ aged to 1 yr last month, which boosted her score to the present 715 and hasn't budged since.  That's after going from 3 accounts with balances reporting last month to the current 10 (9 CC's + 1 auto loan).

dw.jpg

@Duke_Nukem we're pretty sure AWB is on dirty cards now. Did you happen to notice when DW went from recent to mature PR card by chance?

also we really need to start an inquiry thread and separate it by algorithm and scorecard and start recording the values. We have recently had a lot of people mentioning the cost of 1st/last inquiry on a couple models and, when it's the same scorecard, it appears to match. We need to record all these! We could make a excellent resource!

@iv wow this is a awesome contribution thank you so much!!! And as we see, EX2 is code 9.

I want to know does EX2 use code 30, anybody? And from now on, thanks to @iv , we know how to get the real code!! there are no more mistranslations. Yay!

@Slabenstein what was that you said earlier? the kingdom or something? Smiley Tongue

@Revelate ain't no more mistranslation from MF!! Smiley LOL

@Anonymous The industry definitely uses classic codes, but it also has its own subset. We've never been able to definitively identify that subset tho, have we? Well, at least now we can organically create a list of  Industry codes people are receiving.

Will you add those in a separate color? Or a separate table just for industry only subset codes? wow this is exciting! What does that say about me when I get excited about codes? lol! Thanks @iv!!

I'm going to make them separate posts, adding the reasons + codes that we find along the way. But it will be difficult to get these data-code numbers from a lot of people unless it's made easier through some web-script/program.

The Community loves the resources & the data points that we provide, so I would humbly ask members to take the time to do this for us to contribute to our knowledge base, so we can continue to provide the best information available. Come on community! This is how you know the real reason Codes rather than the facelift MF gives it!
