Credit report purchased on Myfico.com inaccurate

I've been rebuilding my credit and lurking here for a year now, ready to join your worldSmiley Happy I ordered my Equifax and transunion credit report through this website and I'm pretty astonished by the vast different credit scores. Both reports really contain the exact same material.. Same credit cards and even my 2 "baddies," but my transunion credit score is 646 and my Equifax one is 617. I haven't had a late payment this year as this is the year I've been rebuilding but on the Equifax report under the part that says "factors affecting credit score," it says I had a late payment "within the last I0 months" then I went to Equifax and attempted to file a dispute for any inaccurate lates and I found absolutely no lates. Why so different fico credit scores on reports that are identical? And there are no lates this past year...please enlighten me lol

Re: Credit report purchased on Myfico.com inaccurate

The 2 scores, TU and EQ or different versions/models.  TU 98 is an older model and though still used by some, not much.  EQ is what 99%, if not all mortgage lenders use.

Those are two of the reasons the scores are different.  Another is that each CRA has different criteria for scoring.

Every FICO report has a "Things that hurt your score".  It could be the way those older lates are reported on this report.  myFICO is a 3rd party report and can be formatted differently.  Whenever in doubt always get your report directly from the CRA.
