Re: Credit scores

There's some information missing from your thread. There's a number of reasons for point fluctuations. Are you just making a blanket statement or are you asking the community why you got a +20 point increase because we need some info than. If the latter, let's start by asking

1) where are you getting your scores?

2) which CB was the increase or was it all three?

3) did any inquiries fall off your report?

4) how much aggregate util are you using compared to last report?

I am guessing these are Vantage/CK 'swings'

real FICO scores rarely make these large changes unless something very good or very bad happened. They more often move by 1-10 pts.

I have had 40-50 pt swings on CK due to minor changes. I just ignore them.

Nope, FICO 8 scores straight from here.

Hi there OP, I have merged your two threads on this subject into one here in the UFS forum, please refrain from posting multi threads on the same subject as it can lead to confusion by the members and its not inline with our TOS. Thanks for your understanding on this.

So I am currently rebuilding but got an update that an account was add to my experian through MYFICO. I checked, 24 point gain. Checked EX, that one, it only gained 5 points. Only change is the account being added. Why the difference? What is the more accurate one? Both are the 8 scores.

The FICO 8 scores on experian.com are identical to the FICO 8 scores in your MyFICO dashboard, but the dates may be different.  There is a time lag of approximately 2 days.

Didn't mean to confuse anyone but they are actually two different subjects. Just within the same topic.

3) did any inquiries fall off your report? Nope.

4) how much aggregate util are you using compared to last report?  4% total. One card at 8%, rest at zero.

As far as I know, nothing changed.

Both updated almost at the same time. Just the how much ( 5 pts vs 20 pnts.) and the over all score are different. (5** vs 6**)

Re: Credit score difference

Well, to solve the mysterious point jump, MyFICO just updated me about an acccount starting to report again. Why they can't say it the first time around is beyond me. So now to figure out why my two experians are reporting to differents scores and yet match in all data.
