With the exception of a frenzy the last quarter of 2006 I have made no inquiries. all the inquiries I made lead to tradelines. These were soft pulls listed as hard pulls and were not initiated by me. The tip off was the dates. I was surprised they came off so easily as I have never disputed anything before.

Soft pulls listed as hard pulls not initated by you? Yeah right! Perhaps you'd like to stay after school and write out our Credit Repair Discussion Guidelines on the board 100 times?

I thought it was strange myself but these three inquiries were listed as both soft and hard pulls and I found this only in the EQ report. There is another strange tradeline I am currently disputing with EQ that doesn't appear on either of the other reports.

Oh great, a FICO fight!  Barry says, "take this, and that, and little more of this, and a little more of that."  Smallfry replies, "I'll slap 20 baddies on your CR's."  Hahaha, love it!Smiley Very Happy

I thought it was strange myself that they came off that easily. I am aware of a technique some use to remove these but I don't think opening up your report daily for one week would provide the desired results. Secondly I had mentioned before that Scottrade had given me both a hard and soft pull a while back. With all the strange reportings of tradelines found by posters I find the disbelief that I could have three incorrect inquiries removed funny.

Re: Disputed Equifax Inquiries

Can someone please explain "soft pull" and "hard pull" to me? (And keep it clean.)  Smiley Very Happy
I'm guessing "soft pull" is if someone checked into your credit report and you did not apply for anything? Is that correct? And how can they do that? Is it legal? And is that something you can dispute? How do you even know for sure?
Please explain very clearly, as I am new to all this.
Thank you!
