FICO 5 4 2

Hi everyone! I hope some can help.

I am currently trying to raise my mortgage middle score by 1 point!
EX 701

TU 679

EQ 660

Revolving Credit:

Discover 500 limit 25 balance 5%

CO 400 limit/15 balance (just paid to 0 today) 4%

NF 1000 limit/ 10 balance 1%

Car Loan 14k balance

Student Loans - deferment

My aggregate utilization is 10% with what reported last month.

No collections!

Do you think getting my aggregate below 8.9% will give me that one point I need from TU?

@Anonymous  Which one has the next earliest closing date Discover or NF? Pay to zero that card. Seek AZEO All Zero Except One card reporting a small balance will get you there and then some.

The CO at zero will probably get you there.

For a few dollars more, paying to zero the NF, you should get extra points for a little score padding in case you need it.

Re: FICO 5 4 2

AZEO would accomplish all you need and then some.  By doing that you'd take what you said was an aggregate utilization of 10% down while also going from all cards with a balance to one.  Those changes should be good for a good 10-20 points, much better than the 1 you need.

Re: FICO 5 4 2

Could pay off Discover instead of NF to 0, and call in for a mid-cycle report, if it needs to be faster

With the mortgage scores it's more effective to increase the number of zero balances. You should go to reported balances of zero on Navy Federal and one of the others, and let the 3rd one report a small balance before you pay it off. That should pick up the points you need.

Good call, as Discover is always easy to get an off-cycle reporting from.  I wish other lenders were as quick to do one as Discover is.

You mean calling Discover and asking for a mid-cycle report? Had no idea I could do this.

Re: FICO 5 4 2

Yes once you pay the balance to $0 you can ask them to report it immediately rather than waiting until the next normal reporting date.
