Indeed you're right, thanks for pointing out my error!
I now have all my updated FICO scores:
802 Experian
795 Transunion
789 Equifax
My intermediate goals for credit repair were to raise my FICO scores to around 720 - 740, but I wasn't expecting that to happen all at once and I wasn't expecting such a large improvement right out of the gate.
Now that all my negative tradelines have been removed and my credit repair phase has been initiated I'll post a new thread in the credit repair forum to explore possible nexts steps to further improve my FICO score as well as other credit parameters such as additional cards, increased CLs, lower APRs, better perks, bonuses, etc.
Big thanks to everyone for your help in explaining the scoring and the great tips on accessing reports and scores.
Posting outside of the rebuilding section is probably best at this point, as with ~800 scores your "repair" is essentially done. The rebuilding section is more focused on profiles with negative information present, which you just eliminated. At this point you're more looking to fine tune a few things to maximize your score, but your rebuild IMO ended the moment your file became clean.
@ LegalTender
Congratulations on your rebuild being complete! !
You're right again.
For 7 years I've lived with multiple negatives on my reports. As I didn't require credit and the last thing I wantd was to take on additional debt my strategy was simply patience ... I decided to wait until all the negatives aged off and then figure out how to proceed with rebuilding. As far as rebuilding, I was expecting that I'd enter into an extended phase where step-by-step my credit would gradually improve until it was more or less sound. So I was just beginning to enter into the mindset of 'credit repair'. The fact that the repair was effected in one fell swoop ... by simply requesting EE from all CRAs ... my credit repair phase essentially began and ended in a single moment. I haven't even had time to recalibrate and digest the fact that I now have a very good/excellent credit rating.
