Re: Help getting my EX 98 score back above 780

So are they really just looking at EX?  For all my mortgages, they used the middle of the three scores

This is with Wells Fargo. As far as I can tell, they're just using the one score. When they(Credco) did the credit pull we got the notification of the pull and score in the mail from Experian, and it matched up with Ex 98/Experian Fico Score v2. All correspondance with Wells has been in reference to that one number. I'll let everyone know if this turns out to not be true.

@LTL is correct.  I think you should check again as they won't be using just one score. Take the case of user @youdontkillmoney.  Wells Fargo used all three and he is also doing a jumbo loan and this is still on going.

Interesting. At the time of my first credit pull, the notifcation I got in the mail was my lowest score, Experian. If they go with the middle I should be fine Smiley Happy. I guess I need to ask them for specifics.

Re: Help getting my EX 98 score back above 780

Broker just got back to me, and you guys are correct. They use the middle score. I guess something changed between my 3/5 myFico update and their initial pull on 3/30. They were actually using my EQ score, pulled on 3/30, which was the exact score as my EX score from my last myFico update 3/5. So my initial assumption that they were using my lowest(EX) score was wrong.

That leads me to another question: when they pull, does that inquiry immediately ding your score, or does that happen after the pull? If it's after, I should be alright because my middle score is still EQ @783. If it dings me in that current credit pull I could have issues Smiley Happy

Thanks for the continued help.
