Hi,
I have received a collections notice on behalf of AAA (Auto club group)... The issue is that I initiated an auto policy with AAA but they declined it as my wife had out of country license... I was under the impression that the small charge of ($66) would be adjusted because I was technically never under the insurance from them.
Anyhow, I now have this collections notice... How can I make sure that it dosent' show up on my credit report. I am open for payment as well
Please advise.
Pay it? Then complain you werent accepted.
Pay it to the collections company? or AAA?
and complain it to AAA or collections?
and what about if I was suppose to pay and didnt (may be a penalty or something) that I am not aware of?
You didnt get the insurance for what you posted. Why have a CA hit on your file 7yrs for not even starting a policy?
Have you called AAA to ask why you owe the $66, since you believe you weren't "technically" covered? That's where I would start. Good luck.
