Re: How to increase score

i can attempt to give an opinion on this one...i;ll leave the rest to others here..

Question:
What is better to be co-signer for account that are 8 years old with $10,000 credit limit
or account that are 12 years old with $2,000 credit limit?

.....
I say you try to get as an AU for both as long as they have perfect history.

Re: How to increase score

Tuscani the expert here. Utl brings down scores. :-) He's right. In the event that both used the same exact % UTL, then what?

Personally, I would piggyback the older account.

Re: How to increase score

As far as I know, someone under the age of 18 can be an AU.  This is your best shot at approaching 800+.  You will get the entire history of your parents BOA and Chase cc's reporting on your reports.  **bleep**, I have an AMEX account reporting on EQ and TU dating back to 1979, when I was 10.  Didn't actually use the cc until I was about 22 or 23.

It is ok to have like 30 thousand dollars credit available and using only 1 percent? or better solution to have 15 thousand and have 30 percent use?

What is better look in lender eyes credit score of 760 or 800? I mean is there any diffrent ?

The lower util on each card (1-9% ideal) the better.

Re: How to increase score

hi, i'am new here. i have a question that kinda goes with this topic. a friend of mine was telling me that he spoke with some "Credit Specialist" and she had told him to make multiple payments in one month totaling or over the monthly payment on his credit card. she claims that this method fools the "computer" and makes your score rise faster. true or false?

Personally I would doubt it.  I understand that most Credit Card companies report once a month, and what is on the card that day is reported, and nothing else until the next month.

That is the way it goes with mine.

The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
