I can't seem to break 700 FICO

I am just curious if anyone could offer any insight as to if I have reached the max socre possible in my FICO score "bucket"?

All info in my signature is current, and I can not seem to break FICO 700 in any report, no matter what tricks I try.

The only baddie I have is a debt judgement ($1,910) from 2008.  No lates, CO, CA, or anything else.  UTL is 1%.

Thanks!

Re: I can't seem to break 700 FICO

Hrm, to be honest I would've expected higher on a FICO 8 pull at 3 years AAOA with the judgement from roughly six years ago.

Would you mind posting a more complete listing of your report, namely out of that 1% how many cards have balances out of total tradelines, whether you have any installment history, where your inquiries landed over the last year, etc?  Might your AAOA calc be off? Smiley Happy  Cover all the bases.

We're still kind of unfamiliar with FICO 8 specifics, and a judgement is no doubt a major derogatory, but I wouldn't think it harsher than a BK or tax lien especially as a single issue on one's report.

Revelate, thanks for the quick reply. I am quite puzzled myself.

As soon as I'm near my desk again, I will post details from my report. Hopefully you can offer some insight into something that I may have missed.

Re: I can't seem to break 700 FICO

Rev IS pretty awesome.

That does seem to be lower than I would expect. The major derog would drop you down quite a bit, but 08 models are suppposed to weigh how recently a negative happened more than some other models. (i.e. a derog will do MORE damage at the beginning but LESS as more time passes.)

Just out of curiosity I noticed you just entered the garden.

When and how many apps have you had in the last 6 months?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: The new FICO scoring model

I received a message that said I was being updated to the new FICO scoring model. Now my score has DROPED from 692 down to 640 and i have not been late on anything and i actually owe less now then before and i have made no additional inquiries .So in roughly two weeks my score droped 50 points for no good reason, thanks thats just what i needed. back in the hamster ball .   SO THAT MIGHT BE WHY YOU CANT SEEM TO BREAK 700 .

Re: I can't seem to break 700 FICO

Looks like you're stuck where I am: several new accounts and inquiries leading to a sub 700 (barely) FICO '08 score with the old derogatory depressing your likely bucket.

Simple advice to break 700: just garden for a year - you've got a bunch of new and newish tradelines, and while I don't know EQ FICO '08 well, I do know EX / TU with my own scores, and they're depressed as a result of new inquiries / accounts whereas I was at 711 on TU '08 and 718 on EX '08 back in November of last year.

Appears as though there's not really much difference between my remaining tax lien from 3.5 years ago and your judgement from 5.5 years ago.  I guess that shouldn't be much of a surprse but it's interesting to see in the data.
