How many total GW letters have you sent out?  Have you tried the Saturation Technique?  Using this method, I was able to clean up 4 dirty accounts... two with majors (90, 120) and two with minors (multiple 30/60's).

Re: Is it possible to get above a 700 with multiple 90 and 120-day lates?

Wow thanks everyone! I'm feeling much better that I feel like there is still potential points to be had even with these lates in the relatively near future.

I have a decent overall profile but obviously have negatives as well. I have about 16 accounts, only 5 that are open. AAoA is 7y11m and AoOA is 11y7m. However that will probably drop a couple years as i'm trying to remove two charge-offs that are my two oldest accounts.

I have a couple paid collections as well. Aside from the recent (within 1-3 years) lates, the collections are due to fall off by the end of 2019 unless I get them removed earlier, I'm trying =)

My one credit card now is 2 years old and has a perfect history, so luckily I'm finally on a good track and keeping it going strong.

Current Score: EQ 708 | TU ??? | EX 714
Score highs: EQ 715 | TU 704 | EX 718 (02/2020)
Starting Score: EQ 616 | TU 614 | EX 585 (02/18/2018)
Goal Score: 740

Re: Is it possible to get above a 700 with multiple 90 and 120-day lates?

I have tried GW letters with no luck, so far have not tried the saturation technique but I've read about it.

I'm willing to try but my lates are with two lenders (5 accounts). 1 account is Toyota Financial and the other 4 are student loan with Nelnet. From searching around it seems the odds are very low with Nelnet, but not impossible, I might be able to get one removed.

For the TFS account, I'm actually trying to get the whole account deleted. Probably a slim chance but I'm trying. I think I'd have a better chance of getting the most recent lates on that account removed though.

I've only sent two letters; the last one was in December.  Thanks for the link to your Saturation Technique; you're quite persistent...I admire and will copy your methods...I'm already on page 4 and intend to read the entire thread.

Re: Is it possible to get above a 700 with multiple 90 and 120-day lates?

Add me to the list of those that know north of 700 is possible with a dirty file, such as 90-120 day lates.  In late 2011 and 2012, I went through a foreclosure and a credit card settlement.  At the very worst of it, my FICO 8 scores were in the range of 515-520.  Within about three years I was able to get the FICO 8 scores in about the 650-675 range, then just over about 700 at around the four year mark.  Now, at about six years later, my FICO 8 scores are in the 740-750 range.  FICO 9 scores are in the 790-810 range.

How I went about it is trying to make pretty much everything else other than the two major baddies perfect.  Obviously everything else paid on time and I kept revolving utilization at almost nothing, allowing only one account to show a balance of about $20, with all others showing $0.

Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...
Sept 2024: EX8: 847; EQ8: 850; TU8: 848 -- Middle Mortgage Score: 821
In My Wallet: Discover $73.7K; Cap1 Venture $51.7K; Amex ED $38K; Amex Optima $2.5K; Amex Delta Gold $18K; Citi Costco $24.5K; Cap1 Plat $8.4K; Barclay $7K; Chase Amazon $6K; BoA Plat $21.6K; Citi TY Pref $22K; US Bank $4K; Dell $5K; Care Credit $6.5K. Total Revolving CL: $300K+
My UTIL: Less than 1% - Only allow about $20 a month to report, on one account. .

Thanks, I appreciate it.  Since you've only sent 2, you have a huge opportunity with the linked technique.  You'll enjoy reading through that thread and also find that it takes 100-200 letters sometimes to achieve the result you're looking for.  While that sounds like a lot, if you're getting 15-20 letters sent out in each Round it can be accomplished quicker than you'd think.

You could have a 760 score with a 120 day late and an otherwise clean file, low util and a good AAoA. I did. I think the 120 day late was 5 or 6 years old at the time.

I've since gathered a few mailing addresses and drafted another letter which I'll probably send out on Saturday.  We'll see how it goes.

What was your AoOA?  In most of the examples like the one you gave above (myself included) AoOA is usually strong as well, say 2X-3X what AAoA is.
