It took a while but finally figured out reporting dates....

You've limited the use of your available credit.
Ratio of your revolving balances to your credit limits
3%
For FICO High Achievers [?], this ratio is 7%, on average.

Still no love points though!!!

When should I expect to see score increase? Will I even see one?

Sorry to say, if it's already on your reports you've already gotten the points.

What was your overall utilization before you got it down to 3%?

Re: It took a while but finally figured out reporting dates....

It was at 12% and i figured getting it below the 7% would move my score.

I guess that is all I can do for now. Just have to let these accounts age. But at least I now know when they are reporting. Overall credit available is $42,500. So even if I don't catch the reporting end of it 12% is the largest, and that's pushing it.

I guess I have to wait for age. Not much else I can do on this end.

Question, how many points do I get for every year----Best guess on positive trades no lates.

Ok, anyone have any advise as to if time will help as far as points are concerned?

I obviously need to wait it out. Maybe all the birthdays coming up this year will help?

Anyone got any advice?

It's just not really possible to answer the question of how many points you get for each year.  There are way too many variables involved to even attempt a guess.

You might want to try the score simulator that comes with your TU and EQ reports from myFICO, and see what it estimates if you pay 90%-100% of your credit card balances over the course of the next 24 months.  That estimate includes not only the change for utilization, but also the 24 months of aging, so it might give you some idea.

I'm afraid that you've already answered your question! Once dropping util doesn't really affect your scores any more, that's usually a sign that you're down to waiting it out. I'm assuming that you've already done all the clean-up that you can.

One semi-fun thing to do is to list all your accounts with their months and years of opening, plus any the months/ years of any baddies. Look for "birthdays": for new accounts, look for one month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and two years. For baddies, look for every time they turn a year older, plus the same first year mini-birthdays. List these out by month, and you might see some little hops as you hit these dates.

Fun, yes? Smiley Very Happy

Thanks Cheddar. I think I screwed myself by adding so many tradelines in the past year. The fact that I do pay in full seems to keep me just in the fair credit category.

I will try the simulator, and just sit and pray!

How did you manage to get your scores up--how long did it take?
