Should the credit score numbers be about the same?
Or which on is more accurate?
Thanks!
CCT and myFICO both offer the FICO 8 classic score. In addition, myFICO offers many other flavors of FICO. .
As long as you are comparing that the FICO 8 Classic scores from MF to the CCT scores, then then they will be identical, provided the MF and CCT scores were pulled on the same day at the same time.
You ask about the "accuracy" of the scores. Can you describe more what you mean?
One thing that's worth observing is that the myFICO and CCT products became popular back in a time when there was no easy way to get free FICO scores and free credit reports for all three bureaus. Over the last year that has changed. It's easy to get both now (along with free Vantage scores as well). So before you lay out money for those products (at least every month) you might want to see whether the no-cost options meet your needs.
PS. For someone planning to buy a house, there's still no good alternative to doing one myFICO pull, just so that you can get your mortgage scores.
This thread has a chart showing the different FICO versions (minus FICO 09)
As CGiD said, FICO 08 scores are useless for mortgage shopping. Mortgages are underwritten by EQ-04, EX-98 and TU-04 scores. In the above thread you will see there are several CU's that provide an EQ-04 score (including DCU which anyone can join for the cost of a HP). NASA FCU (plus a couple of other CU's) provides a fre EX-98 score. However, I do not know of any options for a free TU-04.
If you just want a monthly EX-08 score, both Discover and Experian provide it via:
https://www.freecreditscore.com
The Experian site (freecreditscore) also provides a monthly credit report (no SPs shown). You should also check with any bank/credit union. As the above thread shows, many are giving out semi-regular FICO scores. Typically, they only provide the FICO score they use, but that is the score you should care most about (apart from mortgage apps).

Or which on is more accurate? Basically all the scoring models are accurate in that they are repeatable and rely on computer algorithms that remove human error. However, the only one that counts is the one that the lender uses.
Thanks!
See below link for a summary of credit model score ranges including the various Fico models currently in use. Also included is a link with some graphical score comparisons of model scores cummulative % of all profiles scored
Notes:
1) The Fico scores used for mortgages are: EQ Fico score 5 (same as EQ Fico 04), TU Score 4 (same as TU Fico 04) and EX score 2 (same as EX Fico 98)
2) Classic Fico 08 is used by many credit card issuers but others use Bankcard Fico 08.
3) Some credit Unions, such as Penfed, use Fico NextGen II.
4) Auto lenders vary on which Fico model(s) they look at. Need to ask specific lenders what they use.
