So, I get an alert from MyFico that says my score tanked 12 points! I look for the reason why, and it says a "change in balance." My American Express apparently went from zero to $6. (That's six dollars.) That's the reason for a 12 point drop? Beyond that.... it's not even true. Both Amex balances are zero. So, my question is... is this site another hoax? What's with this stuff?
There are many small variations in FICO scores for add rerasons. If you have active trade lines, scores will change. Mine varies +/- about 10 points with everything being more of less stable

other possible reasons: recent application for: credit card, house, boat, installment loan, opening a bank account(a maybe), maybe even cable tv, cel phone, etc, etc, etc ad nauseum. lol You can pull a CR and find out that way......perhaps.
