So as posted elsewhere, I went on a spree a few days ago and suffered 5 HPs in a single day. Here are the FICO 8 effects:
EX (2 HPs): 702 -> 702
EQ (1 HP): 702 -> 699
TU (2 HPs): 686 -> 683
For context, I have a dirty file with a BK 5+ years old and 3 related pre-BK delinquent accounts. AZEO with <5% utilization.
Make of it what you will! My 3 new accounts and 1 CLI (total credit increase of $29K) are not reflected yet. I wonder if the increased availability will offset these small decreases.

Thanks for this. It seems now that my file is clean with higher scores I am taking a bigger hot for a HP. Recent example,= EX08 807 to 798 for a single HP while having 7 total showing prior, with 3 in the last year. When I was in a dirty bucket, it was a point or two if my score changed at all.

I have a dirty, thin, recent file (go, me! LOL) and I loose between six and nine points for the HP and seven or eight points when the corresponding new account hits. UGH! Perfect example of "your mileage may vary".
Now, I do not have a "Public Record" dirty profile. I have a "Delinquent" dirty profile.

Your name says it all. Trying to figure out scoring is nearly impossible. The DW and I were likely changing buckets continually until we finally became clean.

I'm on a dirty scorecard too, and I've seen very similar results as you in my recent spree. 3 HPs on EX in 2 months resulted in just a 1 point score loss. My 1 HP on TU got convoluted with another change to my report that resulted in a 7 point loss overall, but I can't tell how much of that (if any) was due to the HP vs the other change. Anyway, scoring effects (both positive and negative) are seriously diluted when you're on a dirty scorecard. There aren't many 'advantages' to being on a dirty scorecard, but having score penalties reduced along with no new revolver penalty are certainly a couple of nice ones.

Only the 3 new accounts will ding your score. CLI's only affect your scores if say you were 20+% and it dropped your util below 8%. Since your at 5% now. It may dropped it to 2-3% without knowing your util. No change.
