Quick question regarding AZEO

Merry Christmas, all. Quick question:

I've got 8 cards. 6 reporting zero. One Amex with a balance of $9 out of $21,500 limit, the other is a USBank with $73 out of $21,500. The USBank with $73 is going to re-report a balance in a few days, while the Amex $9 won't re-report for another 20 days.

Closing on a mortgage soon so trying to keep things in great condition.

If I pay off the USBank, I'll have AZEO, but that Amex balance will be tiny at 0.04% UTIL. Will that $9 count as a "1%" balance or not when calculating AZEO?

Thank you!

Amex Gold Delta - $21,500
Amex Blue Cash Everyday - $12,800
Chase Sapphire - $24,000
Discover It - $44,000
PlayStation Visa Signature (Cap1) - $10,000
US Bank Cash+ - $21,500
USAA Platinum Visa (AU) - $20,000
Wells Fargo Cash Back Visa Signature - $25,000

Probably it will be fine. But me  I would rather have $15 or $20 there.

:\ too late to add more since it's already reported. Maybe I'll AZE2. With 8 cards, should be fine...

@Auricom you are worried about the AZ loss but that does not come from utilization, it comes from balances being at $0. Yes it will probably be 0% utilization, but again that's irrelevant $5 reported is fine, as long as you have a non-zero balance. Again, it's not utilization, it's balance.

And yes you only want one with a balance, you do not want 2, that can make a difference on the mortgage Scores, depending.

Re: Quick question regarding AZEO

OP will be fine (maximized) with the $9 balance.

Re: Quick question regarding AZEO

@Auricom, a $5 balance is sufficient on everything except for Bank of America's Better Balance Rewards card.

I routinely leave $6 or $7 on my 24k AMEX card in the months I want to do AZEO.
