I agree with you @Anonymous . In a way just in my case. The more cards I got I'll say hurt less as time moved forward. First card was a pretty good hit. Whereas my 10th card was a zippo. And of course like we know. So many other factors are determined into the calculation.
Coincidentally enough, after opening my PayPal card (receiving a hard inquiry)- I gained 6pts.

Does an incredibly crappy file not suffer compared to idk, normal- whatever that is. (EDIT: see below post for the correct dirty file DP's) One collection that just fell off so I hit the ground running. My first 3 inquires in 8 yrs (Cap1, Discover, Amex) same day; Score 580 (LOL!....I app'd Amex ) four days later my score was 579.

OE, are you sure inquiries ding dirty files? I’m pretty sure they do not, from what I’ve read, but I could be wrong.
I think mine was very dirty, 4 CO's, and collection just fell off, 3- 30 day lates and 1 -60 day.
