So I paid my AMEX Green before the statement but for some reason it reported $72. No big deal but my Score Watch just reported my score dropped because of it. I though charge card balances aren't factored in to fico scores?
On TU98 (my FICO TU) it is.
Just went from 692 to 651. Not happy!
ScoreWatch is an EQ Beacon 5 score which doesn't factor in charge cards. That is very strange indeed.

If I understand this correctly, number of accounts with balances and total non-installment debt are both affected by a balance on charge cards in all of the FICO formulas.

+1. There is very likely something else going on that caused the score drop.
I got a SW notice yesterday for having a balance on my cc. It went from $0 balance to $120. Apparently my payment didn't post before the update to the CR's (I try to always stay at $0, but use to stay "active"). The SW notice specifically said the 5 pt drop was because of my balance, which is 12% of my cl.
