Total utilization 99% to 47%

We splurged and took the kids to Disney world this summer & used the cards to pay for it all.

Total credit available: $2850
Credit one: $850
cap one: $2000

Paid off Credit one completely
Paid $640 on the cap one card. $1360 remaining.

took a minor hit at 99% utilization. Now we are sitting at 612. We are going to apply for a mortgage once the new scores hit (usually the last week of the month). Anxiously waiting! Hoping to get a nice jump!

Thanks! I've been lurking on here for years now and my scores have drastically increased just based off of what others have done and I've mirrored. I know that overall utilization is still high but I'm hoping that cutting it by half + will boost me up. I'll definitely update once they hit

Re: Total utilization 99% to 47%

If you took a "minor hit" at 99% utilization, I wouldn't expect more than an equal "minor" jump when you pay it off.

FICO Scores (MARCH 2016): EQ 829; EX 825; TU 828
AmEx BCP $25,000; AmEx Platinum (NPSL); Barclaycard JetBlue Rewards $5,000; Bank of America Cash Rewards $27,500; Chase Sapphire Preferred $33,700; Chase Marriott Rewards Premier $15,000; Chase Freedom $12,000; Citi Prestige $30,500; Virgin America Premium $25,000; The Home Depot Card $20,500; Capital One Platinum $15,000

Disney is a good trip, I am taking my son there this summer.

In regards to applying for a mortgage, if it were me I would wait until most of the cc debt is paid off.

Re: Total utilization 99% to 47%

Credit one is starting to come in.. Experian.com up 22 points!! So 31 total since paying down the utilization. Lost 13 points but gained 31 so a net of +18.
