Not that I'm complaining, but I received an alert from MyFico a couple days ago stating my TU score jumped from 700 to 758. How is such a jump possible? What might justify a 58 point increase? Nothing bad aged off that I'm aware of.

Transunion over the past month and change has had issues with inquiries up and wandering away for third party sites of which MF is one of them.
Other than pulling a report there's no real way to tell (I'd check CK personally) but unfortunately for now I wouldn't get my hopes up unless I saw something negative had wandered away instead of the inquiries. Does seem to be a lot though for just inquiries but hard to say if the bug is more pernicious than that.
Hope it's not the stupid TU bugs as of late, but I wouldn't bet on that ![]()

+1
This is the only thiong I could think of also, the TU issues. But I agree, I can't see the inquiries causing that sort of jump. I'd think something else happened, but what?

What TransUnion issues/bugs have been happening lately? I only have 4 inquiries from January and February of this year so those wouldn't have fallen off yet.
They had a glitch that made it look like all inqs left but they were really still there if you pulled a fresh report. In your case look on your latest alerts, on myfico it seems that TU is a late updater with alerts and does a accumulative update. Like mines shows as Total retail and Total bankcard balances. If you've paid down balances in those two card ranges over the last month, TU on myfico alerts adds them all up as one. I just seen something similar to yours, my score was a 644, I had two collections and PR drop and paid down my balances over June so I had a better pic of where mines came from and I added a few new cards that reported and some old cards upgraded and reported new accounts.
It's really like tracking everything each month that you do credit wise to have an exact pulse...but the edges to my hair are now gray so I don't suggest that to anyone lol.

I'm pretty sure that a 58 point move like that was brought about by something bad aging off.
